Înfiinţat în 1877, liceul urmăreşte calificarea forţei de muncă pentru domeniile economic, comerţ, alimentație și turism, capabile să se integreze socio – profesional şi să corespundă exigenţelor economiei de piaţă la standardele naţionale şi europene, asigurând servicii ce au la bază calitatea, performanţa, promovarea valorilor europene, pentru toţi participanţii în proces şi deschiderea spre învăţarea pe tot parcursul vieţii.
